May 3, 6:00 PM–8:00 PM
On the closing week of the show, we are excited to converse about Danilo Machado’s essay for the “Love Action Art Lounge” exhibition with the author and gather together for a listening party too! Like many of the artists and collectives in “Love Action Art Lounge,” the queer punk band PWR BTTM creates affirming, intentional music and spaces. Join us as we listen to their record Ugly Cherries (2015) (on real, cherry-red vinyl!) and discuss their music as it relates to Machado’s essay “PWR / Pulse / Glitter / Gunman” and to what social spaces can look like and achieve. This is a free public event, FSW members get a perk, enjoying a complimentary glass of wine and house made (thematic) mini cherry scones. For only $35 attendees can become a member and enjoy free treats too. As always, our cafe will also be open if attendees want to purchase beer, wine, coffee or food.
