Franklin Street Works creates free, educational programs to accompany each exhibition. The programs often bring visitors in direct discussion with artists and curators, expanding on the exhibition’s written interpretive texts through interactions that elucidate our understanding of the curatorial process, artists’ works or themes in the exhibition. Our exhibition events also include commissioned performances by exhibiting artists, including dance, spoken word and performance art. In addition to our exhibition programs, Franklin Street Works also collaborates with organizations and individuals to create community events that bring people together to explore cultural and social themes via entry points such as art, food, and storytelling.
